Golf in Costa Rica

Costa Rica is becoming a world-class golf destination, with different championship courses through Costa Rica. During your next visit to Jaco, you must stop by La Iguana Golf Course at Los Sueños Marriott, just 10 minutes north in the neighboring town Herradura. Costa Rica’s jungle and beachside playing conditions may be hotter than what you are accustomed to, so it’s always recommended to bring a hat, glasses, and a lot of water. La Iguana Golf Course

Located at Los Sueños Marriott, Herradura. This course provides beautiful views of Costa Rica’s coastline and rainforests. The Iguana course wraps itself throughout the luxury of the Los Sueños marina village and is one of the finest in all of Costa Rica. Only 10 minutes north of Jaco makes this our number one course to play.

Garra de Leon Golf Course

Located in Playa Conchal, Guanacaste. The second-best 18-hole golf course in Costa Rica, designed by Robert Trent Jones, is located between the Pacific Ocean and the tropical forests of Guanacaste. From Jaco, you must travel north for approximately 4 hours to reach this course. The course features small lakes and lagoons built to filter runoff water from the course and allow the water to be recycled.

Hacienda Pinilla Golf Course

Located at JW Marriott, Guanacaste. It was created by the acclaimed architect Mike Young. This course is hosted on the North Pacific Coast of Guanacaste on Langosta Beach, a very exotic place. It offers excellent playing conditions by the sea. The layout conforms to the natural flow of the land, weaving through the tropical forest along the Pacific seaside. It’s a par 72 course, giving golfers exceptional conditions to enjoy with family and friends.

Arnold Palmer Golf Course

Located at the Peninsula Papagayo, Guanacaste. This golf club has breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean on 14 of 18 holes, surrounded by wildlife like white-faced monkeys and hundreds of different species of birds. This course has also made rankings of the top 100 courses outside of the United States. Worth the play while you are visiting the northern area of Costa Rica
